Pàdruig Morrison

Pàdruig Morrison, an acclaimed accordionist and composer from Grimsay in the North Uist, presents his debut solo album, Buin. A 2020 finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year, Pàdruig’s music is deeply rooted in his inherited Gaelic oral tradition. He effortlessly straddles the worlds of Scottish traditional music and contemporary classical composition, a synthesis he explored in his PhD research. Performing regularly with his band Beinn Lee, his music is a powerful, innovative voice connecting his Gaelic heritage with new compositional horizons. His debut solo album Buin (meaning ‘belong’) - released 25.01.26 - is a culmination of years of tunewriting and Gaelic songwriting. Pàdruig will share new and enchanting Gaelic songs sung by Mischa Macpherson and Alasdair Whyte, and an array of new tunes with a deep connection to place, culture, and history, performed alongside with Rory Matheson and Micheal Steele.PT1H30MU2026-03-05Pàdruig Morrison"Pàdruig Morrison"
