The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde: A Trivial Comedy for Serious People. A farcical comedy depicting the tangled affairs of two young men about town who lead double lives to evade unwanted social obligations, both assuming the name Ernest while wooing the two young women of their affections. Performed by the Senior Pupils of Portree High School, adapted by playwright Billie Willett. Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring is the amusing story of two charming and innocent elderly ladies who decide that by poisoning their poor, lonely lodgers and burying the bodies in their cellar, they are saving these unfortunates from the sorrows of this world - however, not everybody shares their views!
